There are two different types of policies. Generally policies are created during Governance meetings or using asynchronous proposals. However, if you're the only role-filler of a role that includes a domain, you can create and update policies related to that domain, at any time, without the need for meetings or proposals.

How to remove a policy during a Governance meeting
To remove an existing policy in a Governance meeting, first add an agenda item to the agenda. Then click on "Add/Edit Policy" and select the policy to be deleted.
In the "Update Policy" section, check the box at the bottom where it says "Remove this policy" and then click on the button "Accept Proposal" (after going through the usual Governance process with the rest of your circle).
- How to remove a policy on a domain
If a role owns a domain, and there is only one role-filler, then that role-filler can delete the policies associated with the domain, without the need for a meeting. (If there are multiple role-fillers, you'll need to have a meeting of the role itself. Not the circle that the role is in, just the role itself.)
If you're the only role-filler, go to the role page. In the Domains section, click on the policy link.
Click on the pencil icon to the far right of the policy in question. In the dialogue that pops up, click on the "Delete" button.
